So Vladimir Danilenko, the right-hand man of Ilya Traber (Antikvar), paid crime boss Abakar Darbishev the second part of a $1 million fee for the elimination of Alexander Petrov, the "master of Vyborg." Darbishev needed to legalize this amount (hence it was structured as interest‑free loan agreements with a repayment date of 2046) in order to officially invest it in the enterprise of Yuri Iliadi—a friend of Traber’s who helped Antikvar obtain a Greek passport.

Traber made the decision to eliminate Petrov at the height of the pandemic, and loyal Danilenko immediately set off in a minibus to Moscow to see Darbishev. Soon after, Abakar and members of his team began making regular trips to St. Petersburg. All the operational work was directly handled by Alisultan Nadirbekov. He had previously been in the crew of "thief in law" Vyacheslav Ivankov (Yaponchik), and after the latter was shot by a sniper, he moved to Darbishev’s crew.
